Marcus says it well.
But maybe Yoda says it better:
“There is no try, only do.”
How often do we waste time saying what we would like to do:
— what we intend to do.
— how we intend to be.
— what we know we should…
But then act in a way that goes against this.
I want to lose weight.
But then you eat the cookie.
And skip that trip to the gym.
It reminds me of the line from ‘Look At Miss Ohio”.
Where Gillian Welch sings: “I wanna do right, but not right now.”
Maybe now is the time.
Maybe now is the time to act.
To not focus on the should haves and what could have been…
Instead, just do it.
No more trying… just action.
What are we waiting for? The perfect time? The “right” time?
Why does future “me” need to be the good man; the best version.
Why not now?
What is stopping us, other than ourselves?
